NorWest Newsletter June '08

Hello to you all!

Don’t forget that your subscription fees are ANNUAL and you are able to continue your training throughout the year - we look forward to seeing you when the third term starts again on 6 June for Agility, and 9 June for Obedience.

Phone:
With daylight savings a distant memory, we say goodbye to the dry weather and expect that some of our training nights will be rained off.  The number to call to check if your class is cancelled is
021 0261 9370 - texts welcomed.

However, the club will be showing training DVDs and/or holding dog related quiz games in the clubhouse on wet nights - leave pooch at home and bring your thinking cap instead.

Three Event Day - 13 April
This was a HUGE success.  We had over 50 people turn up on the day and the numbers that entered were easily twice as many as one would normally expect to see at a regular Ribbon Trial.

It was great to see so many NorWesties coming to the event and we also had attendees from as far away as WAG (Hamilton) and Mangawhai clubs.

The weather was a typical Auckland “four seasons in one day”, but we were lucky enough to get a mostly dry day with a few light showers.

The ribbons were proudly sponsored by Animates.

Hopefully this means that we will start to see some new names on the results page.

NorWest Obedience Champ - 27 April
Our Champ show was not as well attended as the Three Event Day sadly, but still good to see our regularly competing NorWesties out in force, egging each other on.

Special mention to Corinne Barker and Kaos who are now well and truly out of Special Beginners with two wins this month.  We look forward to seeing this team working in Novice.
