Obedience
The more obedient and well trained your dog is, the more freedom you can both enjoy. Obedience is the basis of all dog training and provides the family with a welcome companion. Training helps to develope and enhance the relationship and bond that you share with your dog. At NorWest Dog Club we offer varying levels of "good manners" classes to work through. We also offer competitive obedience training for those serious about competing. We also run a childrens class focusing on having fun while training your dog.
Rally-Obedience
Rally O is another way to perform obedience moves. It helps to create a much more attentive and focused dog and best of all it is fun for both dog and handler. Dogs really seem to enjoy all the short periods of heeling interspersed with fun tricks. If you can get your dog to sit and down on command and loose lead walk next to you, that’s pretty much what you need to start off Rally-O.
Flygility
Flygility is a dog sport that mixes elements of agility and flyball. The dog is sent away to fetch a ball from a flyball box while navigating a series of tunnels, jumps and weaves, both there and back, before returning the ball to the handler. This sport tests obedience, agility, speed and trust. Dogs and owners love this game.
Agility
Having fun with your dog is the basis of this sport. With basic obedience training, you can now teach your dog how to jump over, run through or traverse across a variety of obstacles. All whilst getting fit and having fun with your dog.
